BVCAS Booth at Canmore 2008 Folk Festival                                    

   BVCAS had a booth at this year's Canmore Folk Festival which was held August 2, 3 and 4th.  We demonstrated several forms of solar models even though the weather was not in our favour to effectively demonstrate them.  

The "Sport" solar oven drew a lot of interest as did the solar dehydrator and the solar water heater. 

The roulette wheel was very popular, particulary with the young folk.  It drew in the parents and we were able to talk to them about energy-saving tips.

Information about our Society, air quality, energy-saving tips climate change and the Calgary Regional Airshed Zone (CRAZ). was given to the public who stopped by the booth. 

The volunteers who monitored the booth felt this year was the best year ever for getting the public to our booth. 

A "big" THANK YOU to our volunteers for making this year at the Folk Festival a "big" success.
